James P. Avery, Sr., 72, a veteran of the US Air Force and a resident of Greensburg, departed this life Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center Bluebonnet. Visitation at Turner Chapel AME Church, 875 Turner Chapel Rd., Greensburg from 1 pm Saturday, Oct. 8 until religious service at 3 pm. Conducted by Rev. Moses Simms. Interment in Turner Chapel Church Cemetery, Greensburg. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Greensburg.
