Mr. Cevonn L. Butler, an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University School of Communication, departed this life Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. Visitation at Gospel Temple COGIC,
82 Banks Lane, Pine Grove, LA, 70453 from 9:00 am Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 until religious service at 10:30 am. Elder Lloyd Kirk, Officiant and Rev. Peter Donald, Pastor. Interment in the church cemetery. Cevonn is survived by his parents, Lionel and Cathlene Butler of Houston, TX, an older brother, Stanley R. McClendon (Mary) of Summit, MS, a younger brother, Maurice L. Butler of Bowie, MD, a maternal grandmother, Bertha Franklin and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Cevonn is preceded in death by his older sister, Yolanda J. Osby. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Greensburg.
